Minnesota comedian Scott Hansen is providing his best resource, comedy to start what's called the Toys for Troops Comedy Tour. This tour has raised over $100,000 for the Don Hansen VFW and others across Minnesota. This tour is taking Scott Hansen and the Stagebenders to Fosston, MN on October 15th for an 8:30pm show.
By purchasing a ticket for $20.00 - your contribution will go towards families of our troops. The shows have provided games, toys, gift certificates and sporting goods by the truckload to families of our troops.
Scott Hansen is a 5-time winer of the Minnesota Comedian of the Year award. He has made millions laugh with successful national TV appearances on HBO, Showtime, A&E and E!. Scott has also developed and created two pilots and a series for Comedy Central including "Access America" which starred Fred Willard, Digest America and "Seriously Weird Magazine", which starred Joel Hodgson (Mystery Science Theater 3000). Scott has produced, written, directed and hosted "Comedy Gallery: The TV Show" on KMSP-TV (FOX) as well as the award winning, live comedy specials "April Fool's Live" and "Halloween Live". Scott is currently featured on XM and Sirius Radio and is a regular fixture on the KQRS Morning Show, Twin Cities.
The Stagebenders, Kim Thomassen and Gust Alexander are a pair of high school buddies from Minneapolis that love to make people laugh. Las Vegas Magazine has called them "600 pounds of Las Vegas showgirl wrapped into two chubby, bald guys!" Today, they are America's top comedy duo, playing to sell-out crowds and rave reviews. This dynamic due has television and film appearances that include "The Tonight Show, with Jay Leno", ABC's America's Funniest People, MTV's The Jenny McCarthy Show, the Paramount feature film TREKKIES 2, and the Coen Brothers' "The Naked Man".
Their current project is a feature film which stars the duo called "the God Complex" and "The Stagebenders TV Show", a scripted, half hour sitcom.
