11 events in '11; Complete

After driving for nearly 3,500 miles within a week’s time, a half marathon or training getting set for such an event doesn’t seem so bad after all. 
A road trip out east to the north shore of Massachusetts seemed to be fitting for the final run of 2011.  I didn’t feel like taking a plane there so driving was the next option. 

The trip started on Tuesday the 20th at 4am.  I made it as far as I wanted to go, about 1,000 miles the first day to the Cleveland, Ohio area.  After a long day ...

Final preparations

Taking a trip that will send me through eight different states should make for an interesting week. 
The final Freedom Run of 2011 (or maybe two) will be taking place on the east coast, an area of the United States I have never been to.  Half of the states I’m going through, or stopping at during some point in the trip, I haven’t been to either.  I’ll take it for what it’s worth: a fun experience.

Freedom Run 10: Marquette, MI

When I look back at these last few weeks, it seems like a blur.  Things moved so fast from the end of August to where we’re at right now.  September 7th it is already as I type this and it was already four days ago since we crossed the finish line in Marquette, Michigan during the 10th Freedom Run of 2011.  This will not be the last, though.
